 When an accident occurs it is important to know that your agency is there to help with any questions and problems that may arise from the claims process. Calema can help you file your claim through your  insurance carrier. In case of an accident here are some suggestions to help you with your claims process.

What to Do in Case of an Accident

  1. Call 911 if there are any injured people
  2. If possible get out of the way of traffic and move to a safe location
  3. Notify the police
  4. Obtain information from other parties involved including witnesses to the accident(Name, address, phone and license plates)
  5. Do not apologize, admit fault or discuss the accident with anyone except the police and you insurance representatives.
  6. Take photos of the accident scene if possible

After contacting your claims company, the investigator will go over the details of the accident and ask you for the above information. Always contact your insurance company after an accident promptly.
